Plugin Updates

So after some much needed love, I decided instead of writing a new post, to update the software a bit.

My contact plugin broke so I installed one I had used recently with a new client called Contact form 7. This one is rather nice, letting me add/edit custom fields.

I tried like 10 syntax highlighters, none of them let me edit it the colors, and they all looked bad on a black background so I finally found one called Ion Snytax Highlighter.

Since I was getting 20 spam comments a day, I just started denying all comments, and finally installed a reCAPTCHA plugin called WP-reCAPTCHA. This is a more basic plug-in that puts a CAPTCHA on the comment form. If lots of spam still gets through I may just try and take out links.

Lastly, for analytical tracking, I installed Google Analytics for WordPress which counts extra events/variables for better statistics. From the video it looks like something I was planning on building. However, why reinvent the wheel?

What plugins can you not live without?
